ITV Love Island bosses forced to intervene following Joey Essex and ex Grace Jackson's 'steamy' scenes

Love Island bosses were forced to step in and cut most of the footage from Joey Essex and Grace Jackson's stay at Casa Amor, as the TOWIE icon reportedly "can't keep his hands off her".

The reality star, 33, was left stunned when his 25-year-old model ex Grace entered the villa as one of the new bombshells. She was joined by Wil Anderson and Tiffany Leighton, who have also ruffled a few feathers among the Islanders upon their arrival.

During Sunday's show, the new arrivals were told they had to choose one of their fellow Islanders to spend a sleepover with, locking in some quality one-to-one time. It was no surprise that Grace decided to rekindle an old flame with Joey.

However, according to the Mirror, scenes in Casa Amor became so steamy that ITV bosses were forced to cut most of their footage. Joey is currently in a couple with Liverpool beauty Samantha Kenny, who has been rattled by Grace's entrance.

The TOWIE star and blonde model admitted they had a 'holiday romance' after meeting in Ibiza previously. Joey apparently reached out to Grace just a few months before they both entered the villa, in a bid to likely rekindle an old flame.

But will he stick with Sam, or has that boat now sailed? Joey appeared to make a beeline for his ex from the moment she arrived, admitting his head was 'scrambled' as he later chose her and new arrival Tiffany for a three-way kiss during one of the games.

Things have become heated between Joey and Grace. A source claimed: "It’s been a long time since we’ve seen chemistry like this on Love Island. We always wanted to bring sex back to the villa but didn’t expect this kind of tension so soon."

But this eventually led to some of Grace and Joey's scenes to be cut from screens: "There was genuinely so much footage of Joey and Grace at it in Casa Amor, bosses were spoilt for choice and some scenes had to be left out of the edit."

The insider added: "Because they knew each other before, their entire relationship is on fast forward and it’s steamy stuff. Joey can’t keep his hands off her."

Viewers were less than keen on Samantha and Joey's romance and took to social media to share their thoughts, even warning Sam to "pack her bags" due to Joey's clear chemistry with Grace.

However, they haven't been the only couple facing turbulence. Ronnie Vint has caused plenty of drama throughout the villa already, most notably with Jess White and Harriett Blackmore.

But during last night's instalment, the semi-professional footballer let loose and kissed Tiffany Leighton - how will Harriett react as another love triangle takes shape?
