ITV This Morning's Alison Hammond divides fans as she admits to tracking teenage son
This Morning's Alison Hammond sparked a debate among viewers on Friday when she disclosed that she uses tracking for her teenage son. In the latest episode, Alison, 49, and co-host Dermot O'Leary discussed 'should you tag your tot?' with various experts, as people have begun using AirTags to monitor their children.
During the conversation, Alison confessed that she tracks her 19 year old son, Aiden, using the Find My Friends app, which her son also enjoys using to keep an eye on his famous mum. Alison finds it particularly helpful when her son is holidaying in Ibiza, as she can confirm his location and whether he has returned safely to his hotel.
Alison stated: "I've just realised, I'm still tracking my 19-year-old, you know you've got Find A Friend on your phone, I've got it on him and he's got it on me. I just like seeing it, I know he's in Ibiza at the moment and I like to see when he's back at the hotel. I just want to know that he's okay. He loves it, instead of him having to phone me, he does like phoning me as well, he likes to know I've got to the hotel okay. Sometimes he'll phone up and go: 'What are you doing there? ' and I go: 'None of your business!'"

Viewers found themselves at odds over a discussion on child tracking when one opined: "Alison and Ben keeping tabs on their almost adult teenagers! #thismorning" accompanied by an awkward emoji.
Another voiced concern, tweeting: "You're going to make them paranoid #ThisMorning" while a third person chimed in saying, "Depends on the child's age and the reasons why. Ben Shephard saying he tracks his son at uni the other day is ridiculous. But tracking for safety on young children whilst out and about is great #ThisMorning."
Meanwhile, This Morning's own Alison opened up about her past struggles with weight, revealing she was 'really dying' when she tipped the scales at 28 stone, reports the Mirror. However, the cherished TV host managed to shed an impressive 11 stone after committing to a lifestyle overhaul, which included intense workouts and dietary changes.
Recently, Alison took to Instagram to offer followers a sneak peek of her exhausting workout regimen. Her personal trainer first posted a video showcasing her fitness journey, featuring Alison engaged in weightlifting, boxing, and using kettlebells and medicine balls.
Reposting the video on her Instagram Stories, Alison highlighted the caption attached to the original post, which lauded her efforts: "The Queen in today, short on time so quick 45-minute circuit and done!"
She posted a black heart emoji, which led to an outpouring of compliments on her work. One fan enthused: "Alison looks freaking amazing @alisonhammond55 get it girl [fire emojis] I need to join you," while another inspired follower remarked: "This has just given me the motivation I needed. Thank you @alisonhammond55 and @luimancini."
