ITV This Morning's Alison Hammond forced to apologise as show is interrupted
This Morning's Alison Hammond swiftly issued an apology to the audience on Friday after an unexpected interruption during the show.
In the recent episode, Alison and Dermot O'Leary returned from the break to chat about the day's news. However, they were left baffled when R.E.M.'s Everybody Hurts started playing instead of a festive tune, leading Alison to question, "Where's the Christmas song?"
Dermot chimed in with confusion, saying, "I don't understand? It's a killer of a tune but what's it got to do with Christmas?". The antics of The Grinch, who had been making sporadic appearances throughout the programme, interrupted as they both burst into laughter and then proceeded to make wind sounds on air, reports the Mirror.

The Grinch cheekily announced, "Attention This Morning shoppers, it is I, The Grinch, not so festive anymore?", before declaring control over the music selection: "I'm in charge of the jukebox now, I can play anything I want and no Christmas songs, just flatulence!".
Alison couldn't help but express her thoughts after the noisy interlude: "Oh my God, this is so embarrassing! I'm so sorry, we've got to get rid of him [The Grinch], get him out of here! Listen, if you've just tuned in, we do apologise, The Grinch is here!"
Fans soon took to Twitter after The Grinch's hilarious appearance on the ITV show, with one fan tweeting: "The Grinch is hilarious on #Thismorning", another enthusiast shared: "Hahaha the grinch fs #ThisMorning", while someone else asked: "I'm not really watching today, but have they said who is in the Grinch outfit? Are they going to do a reveal at the end of the show? #thismorning."

Alongside the post, The Grinch declares in a clip: "People! The audience of This Morning! Not this morning but This Morning! It's two different things!
"If you're up for a little who-liday cheer, a bit of holiday sassy excitement, tune into This Morning at 10am. I'll be there, ready to wreak havoc on set, assuming I can slip by security. Everyone's gotta have dreams, right? Catch you later, losers!" followed by a mischievous grin.
