This Morning's Josie Gibson was "treating herself to a new body" for her 40th birthday. The ITV star said she decided to "invest" in herself ahead of the milestone and had been hitting the gym daily.

The Bristol-born presenter, who celebrates her birthday on January 24, said: “I’m throwing everything at myself. I’m going to go all out and I’m not going to grow old gracefully."

She told the Evening Standard : “I’ve been in the gym every day, I’ve been running 3km every day and then doing weights. I want to treat myself to a new body for 40 and just doing everything I want to do.”

Career-wise, Josie told the publication she wanted to "stick" with her current hosting duties as she expressed her gratitude at “being able to host one of the biggest daytime shows in the UK and have a really good time while doing”.

She added: “I want to stick with This Morning, I have such a good time there and they are like a family to me and I get to do things that I would never dream of doing in a million years. It’s so good because I’m an all-rounder there, I can do a bit of everything.”

BristolLive reports that fans have urged ITV bosses to make Josie and Rylan Clark permanent presenters after they filled in for Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard on Monday and Tuesday.

Taking to X, one viewer said: “Josie and Rylan are a great duo. Please make them permanent.”

A second said: “This Morning make them permanent. Josie and Rylan make the show worth watching. Ben and Cat are not suited together nor individually for this show!”

A third added: “I wish Rylan presented This Morning every day! It’s fun to have him with Josie as well."
