ITV My Mum, You Dad 'first' as host Davina McCall shares shock announcement with cast

Davina McCall introduced My Mum, Your Dad contestants to a secret new room in the retreat for the first time during the latest episode of the ITV dating show.

Fans will know that the kids usually watch their parents from a video bunker to help steer their journey but the presenter revealed a new twist in Monday's (September 23) episode.

The children could vote one of the parents to go into the snug and they chose 49-year-old single dad Danny from Sussex who picked 51-year-old Jenny from Cheshire to join him for some alone time. However, what the kids didn't know is that the couple could switch off the live feed to the bunker.

As Danny's son Ellis and Jenny's boy Malachi watched on with the other children, the couple decided to switch off the live feed leaving the kids all wondering what happened in the snug.

Jenny and Danny entered the My Mum, Your Dad countryside house on day one of the show and their connection as gone from strength to strength. However, their recent appearance on ITV's This Morning has sparked concern amongst fans.

In the interview, host Ben Shephard probed if their romance had any staying power, prompting a significant breath from Jenny and a coy response from Danny: "You've got to keep watching haven't we?"

Presenter Cat Deeley tried to coax more details from them, but Ben noted their body language, observing: "They've separated a little bit, I can't quite work it out."

Danny offered a small teaser: "The one spoiler I'll give is that absolutely all of us have come out completely and utterly best friends and will be lifelong friends."

Although many viewers were quick to spot the huge space between them on the sofa, with some believing the duo are no longer on good terms.

One person wrote: "'It was all filmed so long ago' - what better way to say that you're already distancing yourself from the show and that you're not together and that this is a contractually obligated interview." A second person commented: "They cannot stand each other. But obviously contractually obliged by ITV to appear on shows like #thismorning to sell this b****cks."

Someone else said: "He doesn't dislike her nearly as much as she dislikes him. #ThisMorning." Another joked about the pair's distance on the couch, adding: "Jenny and Danny didn't hit it off then? Danny will fall off the end of the sofa in a minute."
