ITV The Voice UK fans 'so happy' after opening act's audition
The Voice UK fans have rushed to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts on the opening act for tonight's auditions. The stars of the show kicked off the new ITV series in style with a huge live performance at Old Trafford.
Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am are joined by new coaches McFly's Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher and LeAnn Rimes for the new series. Kicking off the highly anticipated auditions were Liverpool boy band 'MiC LOWRY'.
The group was formed back in 2011 and is currently made up of Delleile Ankrah, Kaine Ofoeme, Ben Sharples and Michael Welch, who all attended Calderstones School in Liverpool. During Saturday night's episode, the group spoke about how they used to perform at performing arts organisation 'Positive Impact'.
Some fans claimed to be 'surprised' to see the group on the show due to their "success." One fan said: "I saw these on tour with Bieber on the Purpose Tour and I loved them then."
Another tweet read: "Ahh MiC LOWRY are sick!!! I really hope this makes their big break for them you know. They’ve been waiting TOO LONG!!"
A third fan said: "So happy MiC LOWRY are on The Voice UK!"
After an impressive performance, the group had all four judges press their button to recruit them to their team. In the end, it was Will.i.am that the boy band selected to be their coach.
