ITV's I'm a Celebrity bosses braced for wild Australia weather after tornado
Bosses are preparing for extreme weather conditions in Australia as filming is set to commence next week. Preparations for the ITV show are well under way - however some unusual weather in Australia is proving a problem, according to reports.
Reports describe the phenomenon as a "gustnado" - saying one recently swept past the set. A gustnado is a brief, shallow surface-based vortex which forms within the downburst emanating from a thunderstorm.
Elsewhere, The production team is gearing up for everything from heatwaves to potential evacuations. They've been closely monitoring the weather since the mini-tornado, which pelted Queensland with hailstones.

At present, the region is under severe weather warnings due to intense heat, but torrential rainstorms are also forecasted. An insider told The Sun: "ITV bosses don't know if they're coming or going - its either factor 50 or umbrellas. Bosses have plans in place for all scenarios, they just wish they knew which one they were planning for."
However, producers reassured: "We have contingency plans for all weather."
Thus far there are no celebrities confirmed for I'm A Celeb 2024 - however one has given a fairly enormous hint by pitching up to Heathrow Airport and checking into a flight to Australia. That makes the first contestant as close to confirmed as you can be McFly's Danny Jones.
Danny was all smiles as he walked through departures, with a guitar strapped to his back, perhaps to entertain his fellow campmates if it's allowed as his luxury item. The 38 year old boyband member will reportedly spend up to three weeks in camp starting next weekend.
