We all love dirty fries, whether they’re BBQ pork, chicken or beef brisket, loaded fries are up there with one of my favourite naughty foods. Well, I’ve found a recipe that combines all the best Christmas dinner trimmings with dirty fries, and it’s delicious.

My TikTok and Instagram 'for you' pages have been filled with festive twists of recipes, and this one particularly caught my eye, because it’s a bowl of my favourite Christmas foods, loaded onto cheesy chips and drizzled with gravy.

And, what’s better than a quick, easy dish that takes no longer than 30 minutes to make? This is all you need to make these delicious Christmas-loaded fries.

Ingredients

  • Fries/chips (whatever you prefer) or feel free to make your own

  • Sausages (I used two)

  • Bacon (preferably lardons)

  • Stuffing

  • Cranberry sauce

  • Grated cheese

  • Gravy

Method

The first step is to preheat your oven to 200C and make your stuffing. I just bought a box-pack from Tesco, which is really easy to make, just follow the instructions on the box, but you simply only need to add boiling water.

Once your stuffing is made, put it into an oven dish and cook for 25 minutes, you will also need to put your fries into the oven around this time (they usually take 20 minutes to cook).

While they are cooking, chop your sausages into small pieces and fry them in a frying pan with your bacon, which also needs chopping into small pieces if you haven’t got bacon lardons.

Once everything is cooked, it's time to layer. Firstly, I put my fries into the bottom of a serving dish, seasoned with salt and pepper, then added some grated cheese so that it would melt, and then added my pieces of sausage and bacon. Next, it was time for the good stuff - cranberry sauce - topped off with stuffing and MORE cranberry sauce and cheese.

The last step was to drizzle some thick gravy over the dirtiest Christmas fries I’ve ever seen and enjoy. Delicious, simple to cook and perfect for sharing if you’re hosting friends over the festive season.
