J.Lo embraces pole dancing for her upcoming stripper film
Jennifer Lopez dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! and talked about some new dance moves she’s learning. The superstar singer and dancer is mastering the seductive art of pole performance for a new role.
Lopez is set to star as a former stripper in the upcoming film Hustler, which is based on the New York Magazine story “The Hustlers of Scores.”
The film tells the true story of a group of former exotic dancers who developed a scheme to steal tens of thousands of dollars from their wealthy Wall Street clients. Lopez will play the group’s ringleader.
To prepare for the role, Lopez installed a pole in her house and hired a Cirque du Soleil performer to teach her everything she needs to know about pole dancing.
While Lopez is a seasoned dancer, she admitted that pole dancing is a different beast. “I have bruises everywhere,” she said. “It’s so hard. I have a lot of respect for people who do the pole.”
