Jack Fincham says he failed to perform well when he joined Love Island's Do Bits Society with Dani Dyer

Jack Fincham has revealed details from the night he finally joined the Do Bits Society with Dani Dyer, admitting he wasn’t on top form.

The Love Island couple refused to get intimate on the ITV2 reality show, instead waiting until they’d been crowned champions to do the deed.

Fincham opened up on the awkward encounter during an interview with Charlie Sloth on BBC Radio 1 saying he tried and failed to make it as “romantic as possible”.

Fincham said: “Look, the first time, as you can imagine... it wasn’t a great performance from me.

“I’d built it up for a long time mate! I tried to make it as romantic as possible but, you know...”

But Dyer clearly wasn’t too unimpressed as Fincham confirmed he will definitely tie the knot with the barmaid.

“It’s definitely going to happen at some point, it’s natural progression.

“We’re moving out over next couple of weeks anyway, getting a nice little gaffe near Canary Wharf way.”

Fincham was last week introduced to Dyer’s dad Danny in person, weeks after he came face-to-face with the hard man via video call on Love Island.

He said he was “nervous” ahead of their meeting, but described him as a “lovely” man.

“We had a nice take away together,” he told This Morning hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes as he made his presenting debut on the show. “Any man who says they’re not slightly nervous to meet their girlfriend’s mum and dad is lying.”

Asked if he referred to Danny as “Mr Dyer” he said: “I stuck with Danny, Dan. They’re similar to my family, really nice and welcoming. We had a right laugh.”

Fincham last week left fans fuming after he failed to post any pictures of his meeting with the actor, simply posting one of Dani sitting on his lap. He captioned the shot: “Lovely evening round Dan’s for her bday, happy birthday beautiful I hope you have had a lovely day love you loads xxx @danidyerxx.”
