On tonight's episode of Love Island(June 24), pen salesman Jack Fincham had a very important question to ask Dani Dyer.

Having managed to survive three whole weeks together, Jack and Dani celebrate their latest recoupling – and Jack is now eager to take their relationship one stage further by asking Dani to be his official girlfriend.

After the latest recoupling, Jack explained his feelings to Dani, telling her: "You mean more to me now. Before I knew I really liked you, but this time it's different.

"I told you, I've really got feelings for you. Honestly, I meant it. I mean it. I really do feel like it's the start of something with us two. Yeah, I do."

Jack's attention quickly turned to family matters, stating that he's got to a stage where he wants to meet Dani's mum and dad and that he's eager to make a good impression.

"You are their daughter and I want them to like me because I'll be spending loads of time with you. So I want them to go, 'He's alright'," he says.

Dani reassuringly responds: "I definitely think they'll like you, there's no reason to not like you, is there?"

But Jack is up against stiff competition for Dani's heart, which she says predominantly belongs to her dad and EastEnders star Danny Dyer (Mick Carter).

"I hope my dad's happy. Me and my dad, we're still going to go for sushi and that. Because Jack doesn't like that. My dad's got my first place in my heart. And Jack can have the second."

And it seems Danny feels the same, as he's missing his daughter.

"I proper miss my baby girl now," he declared on Twitter. Awww.

Anyway, after confiding in the boys tonight, Jack popped the question to Dani about going official – to her delight. They're on!

And viewers loved it too. Cue the GIFs!

....So, how much longer do we have to wait until Jack meets Danny?
