Comedian Jack Whitehall loves to use experiences with his girlfriend, Roxy Horner, in his standup material.

The Bad Education actor and his model girlfriend have been together since 2020, and he has come up with several jokes about their relationship. Still, she has a say: In an interview with The Sun, Whitehall shared that he gives her the chance to scrap any before telling them to audiences.

"Roxy definitely gets a veto. She can be a tough crowd for my brand of humor but, touch wood, thus far she has been very accepting of me doing routines about her private life on stage," he shared. “It is a blessing she hasn’t said no to anything yet."

Whitehall praised Horner for her understanding that being part of the jokes is to be expected when dating a comedian.

"Dating a comedian can be stressful because they go up onstage and tell a load of strangers all about your private life for the sake of comedy," he explained. "She has been very patient with it all. Roxy has the patience of a saint.”

So who is Jack Whitehall's girlfriend? Here's everything to know about Roxy Horner and her relationship with the comedy star.

The comedian and model didn't have a fairy tale first date. On an episode of the Life's a Beach podcast, Whitehall shared how things almost went sour.

He and Horner went on their first date in Australia, where they met, and he sought out recommendations from locals on where to go and was suggested a restaurant.

Once the two got there, though, they saw that the entire joint was decorated by taxidermy ducks and as a vegan, Horner wasn't pleased.

In Whitehall's defense, he did not know she was vegan before the date. He described the situation as "something out of a sitcom."

Although the couple's first date wasn't ideal, Whitehall was able to make up for the restaurant choice. They became a couple in 2020, moving in together during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Horner made herself at home at Whitehall's Nottingham Hill residence, where they were able to get to know each other at a fast rate.

"Weirdly that was quite nice because we spent a lot of time together and it accelerates the relationship in a way," Whitehall told Mirror. "Then when lockdown ended, there was a lot of things we realized. We'd never gone to see a film together. We'd never been to a restaurant in England because we met in Australia."

In May 2023, Horner announced she and Whitehall were expecting their first child on Instagram. In September of that year, their daughter, Elsie, was born.

"Well, this just happened!" Whitehall wrote on Instagram. "Utterly overwhelming and joyous in ways I couldn't have even imagined. In awe of my partner @roxyhorner who has been amazing throughout this journey and is going to be the greatest mum ever."

He continued, "So excited to have started a family of my own. Having vowed I've never be that guy I am now 100% going to be the parent that shows everyone endless pictures of their kid. I also wore sketchers to hospital, I think I must accept I am a full-blown dad now."

Horner posted about Elsie's birth as well, writing, “The love of my life 💜."

In 2021, fans of Horner had become concerned after finding out she was hospitalized. She was feeling constantly tired, thirsty, nauseous and suffering from memory loss. She was then diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes.

"I had been speaking to the doctors about how unwell I had been feeling. I remember a specific phone call I made to my doctor before I ended up in hospital. I was in bed for days crying just feeling awful and not knowing why, I just felt like I was going to die," she told Marie Claire UK. "I ended up taking myself to A&E in the end, which is where I was diagnosed."

While Whitehall was hosting the BRIT Awards, Horner collapsed, and he spent the rest of the evening in the emergency room with her. With Horner's family in Australia, Whitehall has been her biggest support system in the UK, calling him her rock.

“He was there when I got diagnosed. My parents and my family live in Australia, so he has been my family. We’re amazing,” she told The Sun.

Whitehall loves to tell stories and make jokes about Horner in his comedy routines, but there is a time when he will cut anything in his material about Horner.

He has mentioned that Horner has always been a good sport about the jokes he makes about her and ultimately has the final say in what makes the final cut. However, when her parents are in the audience, Whitehall gets too nervous to mention her.

"I had some routines about my girlfriend, but then I remembered her family were in the audience," he said on the Jonathan Ross Show. "I pulled out a couple [of jokes] as I got too nervous … I saw her family and gave up halfway through the joke."
