Jacob Rees-Mogg Booed as He Arrives at Tory Conference

Jacob Rees-Mogg was booed as he arrived at the Conservative Party conference in Birmingham on Sunday, October 2.

Footage from Twitter user @sneapster shows crowds shouting “Moggy Moggy Moggy!” at the business secretary.

According to the Birmingham Mail, a large protest outside the conference venue was organized by the People’s Assembly and environmentalist groups.

Rees-Mogg told Sky News that the protests were “a fact of democracy.”

“They’re shouting but it’s perfectly peaceful,” he continued. "And the right to peaceful expression of your view is fundamental to our constitution.” Credit: @sneapster via Storyful
