Jada Pinkett Smith's mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, has alleged that she had "non-consensual" sex with her ex-husband, Robsol Pinkett Jr, during their marriage.

The 67-year-old actor made the claim during a teaser clip for an unreleased episode of the family’s Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk, during which Pinkett Smith asked her mother if she had ever had a sexual encounter that was "not necessarily consensual"."

I have, but it was also with my husband. Your dad, actually," Banfield-Norris replied. She added: “So that’s really grey”.

Pinkett-Smith replied: “You’re basically saying you had non-consensual sex with my father?” to which her mother nodded.

Banfield-Norris has spoken about her relationship with Mr Pinkett, who died in 2010, in previous episodes of Red Table Talk.

In an episode from 2018 titled Domestic Abuse: When Love Turns Violent, Pinkett Smith revealed she was aware her parents had a “very violent relationship” and that as a child she had noticed scars on her mother’s body.

One, on Banfield-Jones’s back, was reportedly caused by her late husband Robsol Pinkett Jr throwing her over the banister.

He also left her with a black eye after lashing out in a drunken rage, her mother recalled.

Banfield-Jones told how her own mother warned her away from her future husband when she first met him, saying, “You need to stay away from this guy, because I can see in his eyes something is wrong with him. Something is wrong at home”.

Banfield-Jones then recalled the incident which caused her to leave her husband.
