Maintenance Technician
Salary: £43,405 + shift premiums
Location: Solihull
Working hours: 37 plus overtime
The Lode Lane factory in Solihull is looking for a maintenance engineer to look after all manufacturing assets and equipment. The manufacturing technologies include automated robots, automated welding and joining equipment, laser joining systems, automated conveyors, complex tooling, and fixturing and lifting equipment.
Whether you’re an electrical engineer or a multiskilled engineer, JLR say you will receive all the training and support you require to build on your current qualifications and experience. Responsibilities include performing detailed preventive and corrective maintenance activities, fault diagnosis and rectification on all plant and equipment within the manufacturing facility, and a technical response to breakdowns of all facilities and their controls to deliver minimal down time.
They’re asking for individuals with an engineering maintenance discipline Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification such as BTEC, National Diploma or OCR. They’re also looking for a proven maintenance engineering professional with high standards of electrical and mechanical understanding and competencies.
Packaging Process Engineer
Salary: £36,000 - £43,000
Location: Castle Bromwich
This role involves handling the end to end set up, maintenance, and delivery of the packaging development of all parts shipped through the Imports and Exports Operations at JLR’s Castle Bromwich facility. The role is responsible for new model and model year introductions as well as business as usual delivery quality, cost and environmental improvements whilst optimising container density and utilisation targets.
In this role, you’d be responsible for managing and executing packaging development activities to ensure there is a plan for every part packed through the Imports and Exports Operations function. This includes parts identification and visual aids, creating and maintaining packaging specifications and instructions, and designating packaging locations and structure to safeguard the integrity of parts whilst optimising cost, environmental and container density/optimisation capabilities
JLR are asking for previous experience of packaging development and application to manufacturing, a background in supply chain for packaging, computer literacy, and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
Manufacturing Process Engineer
Salary: £44,500 - £47,500
Location: Wolverhampton EPMC
In the Manufacturing team at JLR’s Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC), this role is part of driving Jaguar’s switch to electrification. JLR is seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer to join their expanding current manufacturing engineering (CME) team. This role is key in supporting the production of both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and their transition to electrified powertrain technology.
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic process team working closely with the company’s Manufacturing Operations and Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) departments. Your responsibilities will include overseeing production tasks, driving process improvements, and ensuring the successful handover of new equipment and facilities.
The role expects the individual to be fully responsible for daily personal management, including workload, objectives and deliverables. This includes taking ownership of tasks across Operations, Engineering (Product Development), and PTME departments. It will also involve utilising process knowledge to improve facilities, ensuring safety, quality, and cost efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
JLR are looking for someone with proven process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with expertise in quality control tools such as PFMEA, Control Planning, and Process Audits. They’re also looking for strong knowledge of assembly protocols and the ability to interpret data from quality tools like Engineering Workstation and SAP
Excellent IT skills and an ability to work within cross-functional teams and support projects from early concept stages through to production are key, as is a good understanding of engineering principles, including the ability to review engineering drawings and CAD interpretation
Client Experience Advisor
Salary: £30,585
Location: Coventry
This time in Coventry, the Client Experience Advisor is looking for a knowledgeable expert in JLR brands in order to achieve effective solutions and deliver the highest level of client experience. The role involves managing inbound and proactive contacts to and from clients, retailers and third parties on a daily basis.
Responsibilities include building rapport with clients and retail teams, accurately understanding queries and delivering exceptional services aiming to provide a first point of resolution whenever possible, and managing client and retailer inbound and outbound contact via all customer communication channels to include telephone, chat, social media and email.
It also involves identifying and managing any complaints on the initial contact and identifying opportunities for process improvement, both in the Client Relationship Centre, retailer network and wider business, taking action to continuously improve the operation for the benefit of the client and the retailer.
The company is looking for experience in delivery of exceptional client experiences, an ability to deliver results under pressure, and strong decision making and problem solving skills.
Maintenance Associate
SALARY: £43,405
LOCATION: Solihull
In this mechanical / electrical role, JLR is looking for another individual to assist with the maintenance of their Lode Lane facility. They’re looking for someone to provide first line engineering maintenance support to a local maintenance operational team in FA2 Trim & Final Assembly Operations and support Solihull’s automated storage and retrieval service (ASRS) when required.
This role will also support the team in adhering to standards and processes, roles and responsibilities, ensuring the highest delivery standards are achieved. Successful candidates will participate in scheduled maintenance, break down response, lean improvements and permanent fixes while concentrating focus on bottlenecks/constraints.
They’ll analyse efficiency and provide solutions in this area and will participate in supporting the ASRS system when needed. This includes assisting with multiple conveyors, crane and robotic depalletisation system and completing and documenting preventive maintenance inspections.
The successful candidate will be familiar with high-speed automation and will have warehouse system knowledge. Ideally, they want someone with experience in the combination of the two, including all the tech such as rollers and conveyors.
