West Midlands Police said a man was jailed for dangerous driving and failing to stop for police after he fled officers in Birmingham last January at speeds up to 100 mph.
Patrick Connors was spotted by Walsall officers driving a stolen BMW 5 series with false number plates on January 5, police said.
The 23-year-old failed to stop for officers and continued to drive towards Perry Barr in Birmingham. Police used a stinger to eventually stop the car.
Helicopter video released by West Midlands Police on September 7 shows police pursuing Connors until he eventually abandons the car and flees on foot.
On September 1, Connors pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and failing to stop for police. He was sentenced to nine months in prison and disqualified from driving for two years and five months. Credit: West Midlands Police via Storyful
