Jake Quickenden's beautiful reason for baby boy's name

Reality TV personality Jake Quickenden has announced the arrival of his second son with wife Sophie Church. The 36-year-old shared a photo of the new family member to Instagram along with the touching reason for his name.

The actor and singer revealed that his new son Kit's middle name is a tribute to his late father Paul, who tragically passed away from bone cancer in 2008. Taking to Instagram, he posted a snap of Kit alongside his first child, Leo, drawing comparisons between the two.

Jake wrote: "Can you see the resemblance in Leo and Kit…. It’s actually crazy they look identical. Leo is on the left and Kit on the right. Kit was heavier than Leo which is hard to believe as he looks so tiny at the minute, he also has a little more hair and it’s jet black.

"He’s sleeping and eating and Soph is doing brilliantly breast feeding she’s always got some mad contraption on her boobs but I’m all for it. We gave him Paul for a middle name after my Dad."

Leo's middle name is Oliver which is also a tribute to Jake's brother who sadly died from bone cancer aged just 19 in 2012. Jake enjoys a blended family with his wife Sophie, who also has a child, Freddie, from a previous relationship.

Jake continued: "Fred met him briefly but is at his dad’s this weekend but Fred was chill this is his 3rd brother now so he takes it in his stride. Leos still very unsure he has a look every now and again and then just wants to play but I imagine it will all change in a couple weeks."

Fans and celebrity pals alike showered the couple with congratulations. Tv star Vicky Pattison said: "So happy for you babe. Glad Sophie's doing well."
