James, 27, shared the exciting news that he’s signed a new record deal with Columbia Germany on Twitter, telling his followers: “After a crazy 15 months I’m so happy to be able to say that I’ve signed a worldwide deal with a major label and releasing album 2 in 2016.

“I want to say a huge thanks first of all to my incredible fans for the love and support you have shown me. Without you.. God knows what.”

He went on to thank his publishers and his new management team for helping him on his journey.

A source close to the singer told Traps Europe: “James signed his new deal on Thursday. He needed time away from the spotlight to calm down and take stock, which is exactly what he’s done.

“Columbia Germany is the second biggest label internationally and he’s signed a worldwide deal.”

The Sun is also reporting that he’s been working on tracks with Mozella (who wrote Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball) and Wayne Wilkins (who worked with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini on ‘Fight For This Love’), hinting that this album is going to be pretty epic.

It’s great to have you back, James, and we can’t wait to hear what new music you have to offer.

It was also recently rumoured that James would be enjoying a stint on I’m A Celebrity later this year, although his rep later denied the claims.
