James Blunt: I speak with a stupid accent but posh people have feelings too
Singer James Blunt doesn't think he should be mocked for his cut-glass accent, even though he himself thinks it's an "incredibly stupid" one.
Blunt, who attended elite £41,775-a-year private school Harrow, would rather people focused on the music he puts out instead.
"Any grief I’ve had for being a posh t**t is entirely justified," the 45 year old said on Natalie Pinkham's In The Pink podcast. "I speak with an incredibly stupid accent.”

"But whether or not I deserve being in the music business, it should just be about the music. And music that is emotionally charged then anybody can feel it. You know what, posh people have feelings too."
Blunt is no stranger to criticism, however, and has become renowned for his witty comebacks to his online detractors.

The You're Beautiful hitmaker comes from a military family and he rose to the ranks of Captain in the British Army Life Guards before he made a name for himself in the music industry.
His father, Colonel Charles Blount, was a former cavalry officer in the 13th/18th Royal Hussars, as well as a helicopter pilot and colonel of the Army Air Corps.
Although, their family has been hit by tragedy recently as Blunt made an emotional plea in the autumn of last year on Good Morning Britain as he revealed his father was waiting for a kidney transplant.
He explained that while he would've donated his own kidney, he wasn't a match. One month later, he divulged two people had come forward to help his father.
Blunt lives in Ibiza with his wife Sofia and their two sons.
