It's looking like James Bond will return... in Croatia.

The mayor of Dubrovnik has confirmed that the 25th 007 movie will be filmed in the country, according to Portaloko (via MI6 HQ), saying: "James Bond is in an advanced stage of negotiations."

Producers Eon have been rumoured to be scouting Croatia as a potential location for Bond for a while. Daniel Craig, however, still hasn't confirmed whether or not he will be returning to the franchise.

Despite recently becoming the second longest-serving actor to play Bond (behind only Sir Roger Moore), Craig is being typically coy about whether or not he will be hanging up his Walther PPK.

Producers are said to be anxious to get him signed on to another Bond movie, while he has stated previously that he'd only do it for the cash... before later going on to say that playing 007 is actually the best job in the world.

Stop playing hard to get, Daniel.

And while producers have said that he's still their first choice, rumours have been starting to pick up around who might take over if Daniel decides to wave farewell to Bond, with contenders including Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Tom Hiddleston, Aidan Turner... the list goes on. And on.

With the location in the final stages of being secured, perhaps we can hope that production might get under way sooner rather than later – and we'll finally know who will be having their Martinis shaken, not stirred.
