James McAvoy spotted at cosy Glasgow pub leaving staff beaming
Glasgow born Hollywood actor James McAvoy delighted staff at a Glasgow pub after popping in for a pint.
The team at the Hielan Jessie in the city's Gallowgate were surprised to see the X-men star, saying he brought an 'electrifying buzz' to the cosy pub.
Posting a pic online alongside a star struck member of staff, they wrote: "We had an unexpected and delightful visitor at the Hielan Jessie! None other than the talented actor James McAvoy dropped in for a pint.

"His presence brought an electrifying buzz to the cozy pub. You may recognise the star from his roles in X-Men and Atonement. From the whole team it was lovely meeting you!"
The actor appears to be back on home turf after he was spotted at a popular Indian restaurant in the west end of Glasgow earlier last month.
Just days ago on September 12 McAvoy's most recent film, Speak No Evil, was released. The nightmarish psychological thriller is in fact an American remake of a little-known 2022 Danish horror - it is based on a dream holiday which soon turns into a living nightmare when an American couple and their daughter spend the weekend at a British family's idyllic country estate.
