Jamie and Louise Redknapp are 'taking time apart' amid split speculation

Jamie and Louise Redknapp have reportedly been taking time apart in a bid to save their 19-year marriage.

Insiders have said that Louise is “re-evaluating parts of her life” amid split speculation, with the pair’s romance under strain after Louise spent seven months away from the family for Strictly Come Dancing TV show and tour commitments.

Speaking to The Sun, a source explained that Louise and Jamie are focusing on their two children, 12-year-old Charlie and eight-year-old Beau, sharing: “It’s a very difficult situation because of their two children who they are both determined to protect.

“That’s why they’re not prepared to officially end the marriage or comment publicly. They hope time apart might fix things, even though that doesn’t look likely

“But Jamie hasn’t given up hope. He is fighting for his marriage and to keep his family together. It’s all very sad.”

According to the insider, Louise is staying at a house 15 minutes away from her and Jamie’s family home, with another source adding that “they are giving each other space as they work through things”.

Just one month ago, Louise insisted that her and Jamie’s relationship was still “great”, even claiming that she and her husband were in bed together when they heard reports that they are set to split.

Speaking at the time, Louise shared: “Me and Jamie had just been out for dinner at Zuma, and were in bed together when we saw on Sky that our marriage was in trouble.

“We’re great – don’t worry about us, everything’s fine.”
