Jamie Oliver has landed himself in a bit of hot water after posting a picture of his new baby boy, River Rocket Oliver, on Instagram.

The celebrity chef posted the picture of his 8-month-old son adorably grinning for the camera, with the equally as cute caption of: "Morning little boy.....always good to get a nice smile."

But, if you didn't clock it, it seems River Rocket is smiling up from his place on the floor, and while we thought it was cute, it seems not everyone was too impressed with the picture.

And by 'everyone', we mainly mean Jamie's mum Sally, who decided to give her son a talking to right there in the comments section.

"This adorable child," she wrote. "He looks so like you as a baby! But please get him off that hard floor now."

Which just goes to show that mums always know best – and you're never too old to be told off by them.

After spotting Sally's comment, others weighed in on the baby-on-the-floor debate, but eventually Sally returned to her son's post to clarify she was only teasing.

"The floor is very clean and River is very well cared for," she added. "I was only teasing Jamie."

Jamie and his wife Jools welcomed little River in August last year, and later revealed his full name on Instagram with an adorable family photo

"It's probably polite to formally introduce the new boy to you," Jamie wrote in his Instagram caption.

"His name's River Rocket Oliver. We think it suits him and he's a little gift and we are all very happy."

The announcement came just weeks after the Food Revolution host admitted that the naming decision would be up to his wife.

"If I'm honest, I go with the flow," he explained.

"Not that I'm giving you advice but part of a successful marriage is to go with the flow and shutting up when need be, so we'll see what names she comes up with."
