Jamie Oliver’s new TV show Jamie: Keep Cooking Family Favourites will air later this month on Channel 4 after the celebrity chef and his crew managed to complete filming despite coronavirus restrictions.

The show follows on from the recent TV programme Keep Cooking and Carry On, which offered tips and recipes for how to eat well without needing many of the ingredients that were sold out during the coronavirus pandemic.

In an Instagram video this morning, Jamie said he has been filming the show outdoors over the last three weeks, with the help of wife Jools, the Olivers' five children and a dedicated crew who he’s worked with for over 20 years.

The TV chef wrote: "A massive thank you to my wonderful film crew that did the most amazing job filming my next cooking show, with the TV industry in flux it was the first job for many of them post lock down and I’m truly blessed to work with these wonderful, talented people who are very loyal me and very dedicated to there craft, some of these folks I’ve worked with for 21 years. This latest job was shot outside (unless it rained!) over a three week period with my large family who also I must thank especially @joolsoliver what a star... I really wanted this series to be truly useful to YOU right NOW....with a feeling of calm and reflection but also bouncing off of new ideas I’ve been dreaming up for new family favourites which are simple, tasty, affordable and accessible. I’m really proud of it ill let you know the exact date of broadcast guys but it’s very soon! Big love Jamie O"

The eight-part show sees Jamie creating mouth-watering dishes to feed the whole family. Shot in a new style, the recipes are taken from his newest book, Jamie’s 7 Ways and will feature simple and affordable ingredients that lots of us buy every week.

Channel 4 promises the show will be "packed with affordable, useful and feel-good meals and tips, inspiring us with new ideas and showing us how food can bring us all together".

Jamie: Keep Cooking and Carry On is available to watch on Channel 4's 4OD now.
