The preparation is quick, ready in under 30 minutes, and calls for only four basic ingredients.
Follow Jamie Oliver's instructions for sumptuous Yorkshire puddings that are certain to be a hit, reports the Express.
Yorkshire Puddings:
Serving size: Eight people
Ingredients:
150g plain flour
150ml whole milk
Four large eggs
Vegetable oil
Method:
Start by combining the flour, milk and a pinch of sea salt in a bowl. Next, crack in the eggs and add 50ml of cold water, then whisk until the batter is smooth.
Decant the mixture into a jug and chill in the refrigerator overnight would be optimal, though a few hours will suffice.
Preheat your oven to 200C (400F/gas six). Add four tablespoons of vegetable oil or beef fat into a roasting tin and heat it in the oven until scorching hot.
Oliver stresses: "Make sure that the shelf is lowered so the Yorkshire has room to rise."
When the tray is adequately heated, carefully take it out of the oven, pour in the chilled batter, and place it back in the oven to bake for 25 minutes, or until the pudding is golden and perfectly risen.
Importantly, Oliver notes that you should keep the oven door closed until it's time to serve the Yorkshire pudding, which you can tear into pieces for sharing.
