Just one week after announcing their split, Janet Jackson’s estranged husband, Wissam Al Mana, has posted a heartfelt tribute to the singer on his website.
Last Sunday, fans of the star were left shocked when it was announced that her marriage is over only weeks after the pair had welcomed their first child, Eissa, together.
In spite of the heartbreak, Janet and Wissam are determined to keep their relationship as amicable as possible- something that Wissam proved with his touching blog post.
The Qatari billionaire wrote under a section of his website titled ‘Love’: “To the most beautiful person in the world, thank you for your divine love, your eternal support and for being my best friend.
“I love you so much, inshallah we will be together in the Great Forever x.”
Underneath the post is a black and white photo of Janet.
The singer is yet to respond the rather public declaration.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source previously revealed that there were no hard feelings between the couple, sharing: “Sadly, Janet and Wissam have decided that it wasn’t working and to go their separate ways.
“They’re both busy people but determined to be good parents, even if they’re apart.”
The insider went on to add that the pair have parted on good terms and that Eissa will be living with Janet.
Although Janet and Wissam’s separation was confirmed by Janet’s rep, the star hasn’t spoken out on the split but she did take to social media last week to share the first photo of her and Wissam’s three-month-old son.
In the sweet snap, Eissa is yawning as he snuggles up against his mum, with Janet affectionately kissing him on the head.
She simply captioned it: “My baby and me after nap time.”
Janet and Wissam married in an intimate ceremony in 2012, with the singer previously marrying twice before.
The star tied the knot with fellow musician James DeBarge in 1984, splitting in 1985, and also enjoyed a nine-year marriage to dancer Rene Elizondo Jr. from 1991 until 2000.
