Janey Godley preparing for 'both options' ahead of cancer scan results
Comedian Janey Godley has said she needs to prepare herself for both good and bad news as she gears up for the latest scan in her cancer battle.
The 60-year-old – who is a regular panellist on Have I Got News For You – revealed last year that she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and that she needed a hysterectomy.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, the Scottish star said people tend to assure her that she is going to be fine but that she needs to prepare herself for the fact that she might not be.

Talking to host Lorraine Kelly about her new book Nothing Left Unsaid, Godley said it had been “quite a clash” working on it while she was dealing with cancer.
“Everybody was saying, 'Don’t worry it will take your mind off it' and nothing really takes your mind off it at all,” she said.
She went on: "When people meet me they are like, 'Oh don’t worry you are going to be fine' and you are like, 'Well you really don’t know that' and I have to accept that I might not be fine.
"I’ve prepared myself on that."
Godley continued: "But then again I might you know, I’ve got my last chemotherapy next week and then they scan me and then they tell me how successful it has or has not been.
"And I have to prepare myself for both of those options but at the same time I have to live my life as it is."

The Traces actor previously said she went public with her diagnosis to highlight her symptoms - bloating, stomach pain, tiredness and needing to urinate more often - as she urged other women not to delay getting checked out if they felt the same.
