The images showed the soap sweethearts cuddled up during their dating days, sat together chatting while wearing their school uniforms and embracing at their wedding.
“Happy 32nd Anniversary Scott and Charlene ! @neighbours @kylieminogue,” wrote Donovan, 52.
Scott and Charlene were a hugely popular couple during the Australian programme’s early years, with fans gripped by the ups and downs of their romance.
When they finally made it down the aisle, the episode became one of the best known soap scenes of the late 1980s.
The same year, Donovan and Minogue recorded duet Especially For You, which was the fourth biggest selling single in the UK in 1988.
The song’s popularity has endured, and fans went wild in 2018 when Donovan joined Minogue to perform it on stage during her headline set at Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park.
Fans welcomed Donovan’s latest peek at the past, with many posting messages on the star’s Instagram account saying it took them straight back to the 80s.
“Aww this takes me back to my childhood...” said one person, while another gushed: “Our favourite couple ever!”
“Thirty-two years!!! No way!!!! I was obsessed with you two xx,” posted another fan.
