'Jaw-dropping' gothic horror series snubbed by Emmy Awards is currently streaming for free

Fans of the critically acclaimed gothic horror series, Interview with the Vampire, are up in arms as the AMC show has been overlooked by the Emmy Awards.

The first season premiered in October 2022 but was notably absent from last year's awards lineup.

Due to the second season concluding after the May 31 cut-off point, it was once again missing from this year's Emmys, leaving fans disappointed and hopeful for recognition next year.

The series, based on Anne Rice's bestselling novels, features Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac, a New Orleans brothel owner turned vampire by Lestat de Lioncourt (played by Sam Reid).

In the present day, Louis invites ageing journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) to revisit their interview from nearly half a century ago about his time with Lestat and their surrogate vampire daughter Claudia (Bailey Bass and Delainey Hayles), reports the Express.

Originally adapted into a film starring Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, this version of Interview with the Vampire expands on author Anne's original novels with some fresh twists for modern audiences.

It has garnered a passionate fanbase over its two seasons, many of whom have taken to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to demand Jacob gets his due during the next awards season.

"I will not know peace until jacob anderson's name is carved on that emmy," one fan declared.

Fans are expressing outrage after Jacob Anderson went unnoticed at the Emmys, with one quipping: "Congratulations jacob anderson for winning every emmy tonight despite not being nominated!!!"

"Alright. see you all next year for jacob anderson lead actor in a drama emmy," another forecasted.

One viewer was dismayed, saying, "It's Emmy's day I am reminding you all of the outrageous snub that is not giving Jacob Anderson every award for his performance in IWTV."

And another comment came in: "Personally i'm just always mad at the emmys cause of its usual snubs...cough cough jacob anderson you deserve the world."

A newly minted fan raved: "I just finished iwtv s2. 10/10 amazing, spectacular, showstopping, incredible, never been done before, jaw dropping."

Although Jacob wasn't in the running for this year's awards, fans are bound to be livid if his work goes unacknowledged in 2025.
