Jay Slater's dad clears up missing keys mystery in new TikTok video
Jay Slater's dad Warren has set up his own TikTok account in a bid to investigate what really happened to his son.
Videos posted by the 19-year-old's father quickly went viral with people suggesting he must still have questions surrounding the teenager's disappearance. The account features a photo montage overlayed with rave music and images of Jay, along with pictures of the remote area of Macsa in Tenerife where he was last seen.
One video shows him standing on the steps of the Airbnb where Jay stayed with two men. In it, Warren can be seen attempting to retrace Jay's last steps based on witness accounts that the youngster from Lancashire walked off the path and into mountainous terrain, the Star reports.

"They said that he has walked up the hill," Warren states in the video.
Panning across the remote region, Warren adds: "Seriously? I think there's a lot of bullsh*t going on.
"Truthfully. Can anybody see a shortcut back to Las Christianos?"
Jay, an apprentice bricklayer from Oswaldtwistle, disappeared after partying with friends on the island, sparking a four week search. Jay, from Oswaldtwistle, messaged friends on the morning of June 17, 2024, saying he was 28 miles away from their accommodation with one per cent phone battery.
Jay left an Airbnb property in Masca, to the north of the island, but missed the bus and attempted to walk back to his accommodation. On July 19, Jay's body was found in a ravine in the Rural de Tempo National Park. After confirming his identity, investigations concluded he died from a head injury.
In his latest video, which has been viewed more than 50,000 times, Warren settled the mystery of a bunch of keys he found that were thought to be Jay's "lost apartment key".
Warren said: "Just to show a video to confirm this is my account. The keys I found do belong to the Down the Rapids guy [a TikTok sleuth]. I found them at the end of the path.
“I haven't been back to Tenerife ever since I came back from looking for my son. The videos that I've been posting are just documentation of what I was up to, where I was searching, things I was looking at while I while I was out there and that's it."
Warren's TikTok account only has four posts. The first is a statement which has been viewed over 100,00 times which thanks everyone involved in the search for his son.
It reads: "It has warmed our hearts as a family to know how many people cared about Jay and how many people will now join us in remembering our son. We will never forget the kindness and love shown by family, friends and strangers. It's made this devastating time more bearable."
However, it goes on to ask people to "stop talking about Jay online" and "adding to the conspiracy theories surrounding his death."
It adds: "To us, he is our son, our baby and we are asking for respect and time to grieve without having to see all this online. Please respect our wishes and allow Jay to rest in peace."
