The father of Jay Slater, a 19 year old bricklayer from Oswaldtwistle who tragically died in Tenerife, has started his own TikTok page to discuss the investigation into his son's disappearance and death.

Jay went missing on June 17 after attempting to walk back to his accommodation following a party on the Island with two individuals he had just met. It is believed that Jay miscalculated the distance he needed to walk and tragically fell to his death.

His remains were discovered in a ravine in the Rural de Teno park in Tenerife on July 15, almost a month after he was reported missing. A post-mortem examination concluded that Slater died from traumatic head injuries consistent with a fall from height, reports the Mirror.

Now, his father Warren has launched a TikTok account to talk about the investigation. In his most recent video, which has been viewed nearly 50,000 times, Warren stated: "Just to show a video to confirm this is my account. The keys I found do belong to Down the Rapids guy. I found them at the end of the path.

"I haven't been back to Tenerife ever since I came back from looking for my son. The videos that I've been posting are just documentation of what I was up to, where I was searching, things I was looking at while I while I was out there and that's it."

In one photo, Warren is pictured on the steps of the Airbnb where Jay stayed with two men, attempting to retrace the final movements of the Lancashire youngster based on reports that he wandered off the path into tough, mountainous areas.

Speaking about the location, he commented: "They said that he has walked up the hill. Seriously? I think there's a lot of bulls*** going on. Truthfully. Can anybody see a shortcut back to Las Christianos?"

An urgent search began and ultimately, on July 15, the body of the lad from Lancashire was found in a rugged part of the island, not far from his last known phone signal. Due to the 'very deteriorated' condition of Jay's remains, authorities initially indicated that determining the exact cause of the teenager's death might be challenging.
