Jay Slater's dad starts TikTok account to share 'what really happened' over son's death
The father of Jay Slater, who tragically died after a walk home turned fatal, has created a TikTok page dedicated to the investigation into his son's disappearance and unfortunate death.
The young bricklayer from Oswaldtwistle was last seen on June 17, trying to embark on a 10-hour trek back to his lodgings after leaving a party on the Island with acquaintances he had just met. It is thought the 19-year-old misjudged the distance he had to walk, a mistake which regrettably led to his death.
Jay's body was discovered in a ravine in Tenerife's Rural de Teno park on July 15, nearly a month following his missing report filed on June 17. The autopsy concluded that the cause of death was traumatic head injuries, indicative of a fall, reports the Mirror.

Warren Slater, in mourning, has taken to TikTok, as mentioned by the Daily Star, to open up about his quest for answers. In a recent video, attracting close to 50,000 views, Warren confirms: "Just to show a video to confirm this is my account. The keys I found do belong to Down the Rapids guy. I found them at the end of the path."
He further elaborates: "I haven't been back to Tenerife ever since I came back from looking for my son. The videos that I've been posting are just documentation of what I was up to, where I was searching, things I was looking at while I while I was out there and that's it."
In one image, the young man is captured standing on the steps of the Airbnb that Jay used along with two other individuals. Warren was seen attempting to piece together Jay's final movements based on accounts that placed the Lancashire youth veering off a path and into rugged upland.
He commented: "They said that he has walked up the hill. Seriously? I think there's a lot of bullsh*t going on. Truthfully. Can anybody see a shortcut back to Las Christianos?".
Following intense searching efforts, the body of the Lancashire teenager was ultimately found on July 15 in a rough area of the island, not far from his phone's last known location. Due to the advanced decomposition of Jay's remains, authorities initially indicated that determining the precise cause of his death might be challenging.
