Blue Ivy is clearly receiving a hefty amount of pocket money each week.

The famous tot bid $19,000 (£13,000) on a painting as she joined her parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z at an art auction in Los Angeles at the weekend.

The six-year-old put in an initial bid of $17,000 (£12,000) for a painting of young Oscar-winner Sidney Poitier at the 2018 Wearable Art Gala.

Keen to clinch the deal she later raised her paddle to offer $19,000 – but was jokingly stopped by Jay-Z who pushed her hand down.

Host Star Jones told the crowd: “Baby girl, yes! Let me tell you what’s happening. Her mother and father have been talking about how you gather art and that is a big deal for African Americans.”

Speaking about Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles who organised the event, she continued: “Listen, you know Ms. Tina told me all of this. Why you think I’m up here talking about it?

“19 for Miss Blue, yes, and she’s like, ‘I like that’.”

Blue Ivy missed out on the artwork to Tyler Perry who bid $20,000 (£14,000), but she made sure to not go home empty handed.

She later won a 36" x 36" art piece made of deconstructed law and medical books from Indiana and California with a final price $10,000, according to Vanity Fair.

Beyonce also joined in with the gala, bidding $17,000 (£12,000) to win a set of Lorraine Schwartz panther earrings.

Blue Ivy has won over a legion of fans in recent weeks after she told her parents to calm down while front row at the Grammy Awards before making Beyoncé hold her drink while she tucked into a snack.

She then stole the show at the NBA All Stars game as she posed for a string of courtside selfies with the Crazy in Love singer.
