Jay Z Laughs Off Cheating Claims In Boastful Lyrics About Cash Value Of His Marriage

Jay Z has finally addressed his wife Beyoncé’s allegations he’s a cheating husband with boastful lyrics bragging about the power of their marriage.

The 46-year-old rapped about his apparent infidelity on remix track All The Way Up featuring Fat Joe and Remy Ma, released yesterday online.

But he’s not repentful – his lyrics reference the fact he and Beyoncé’s marriage has the power to make millions of dollars.

Some are likely to say it is a hint his wife’s claims about their relationship on her new album Lemonade were a publicity stunt to drum up sales for the record, released on her husband’s Tidal streaming service.

Jay-Z raps about the situation: “You know you made it when the fact / Your marriage made it is worth millions / Lemonade is a popular drink, and it still is / Survival of the littest.”

The couple, above, who got married in 2008 and have four-year-old daughter Blue Ivy together, sent rumour mills into overdrive at the end of April when Beyoncé released her hour-long visual album in which she hinted her spouse had been cheating on her with a woman named Becky.

In one track Sorry Beyoncé sang: “Looking at my watch he should have been home / I regret the day I put that ring on / He always got them f***ing excuses / He only want me when I’m not on there / He better call Becky with the good hair.”

By the end of the album, the pair, dogged for years with affair allegations, have seemingly patched up their differences.

Even though many fans were quick to lash out at the rapper for his alleged behaviour, some people believe the whole album may just be a publicity stunt to rake in cash after the likes of Rita Ora, above with Jay-Z, chirped up they were not “Becky with the good hair” referenced by Beyoncé.

Though speculation is still rife, almost four weeks on from the release, it’s thought the couple are planning to address the claims on a forthcoming secret record.

A source recently said: “Jay and Beyoncé were never going to do an interview to address all the questions that came up after Lemonade. It’s more their style to respond through music.”
