JB Gill finally achieved Strictly Come Dancing victory after missing out on the glitterball last year. The JLS star took to his Instagram story earlier today to recap on his weekend in Birmingham as the Strictly Come Dancing live tour gets underway.

He recorded a heartfelt message for his followers, showing his 'love' after a busy weekend of performing. The JLS star is one of many Strictly contestants taking part in the live arena tour which kicked off in Birmingham on Friday. Winners of the latest series of Strictly, Chris and Dianne have not reunited due to the comedians other commitments.

The celebrities taking part include actor Jamie Borthwick, broadcaster, presenter and opera singer Wynne Evans and model and TV personality Tasha Ghouri. They Gladiator and Olympian Montell Douglas, actress Sarah Hadland and singer Shayne Ward are also part of the line-up.

Taking to Instagram, JB talked about his whirlwind weekend on the road with Strictly. He said: "It was amazing, such a great vibe. You guys really kickstarted the tour vibes and the party."

A happy JB added: "And I was able to win the final night last night, so amazing. Shout out to Amy, shout out to Lauren, and shout out to everyone in Birmingham, love you all."

At the end of each night on tour, audiences vote for their winners after watching each couple perform their favourite routines from the series. JB won the glitterball on Sunday evening, following Sarah Hadland and Tasha Ghouri who also won the audience vote over the weekend.

For the first time, judge Motsi Mabuse will join Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood across all UK tour dates. The show is hosted by Janette Manrara. The tour is set to arrive at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on January 28 and 29.

JB's Strictly experience was far from smooth running. He became the first-ever contestant to have two different professional partners on the live tour. He was originally paired with Amy Dowden for the series, who was forced to withdraw from the show in week six after suffering a leg injury. She was replaced in the race for the glitterball by Lauren Oakley, and the pair went on to make it to the final.

In an additional post on Instagram, JB shared a picture with his co-stars following Sunday night's show. He captioned the image: "Kings and Queens of the dancefloor!"

Fans flooded the comments to praise his win. One said: "Great show tonight and so pleased you won JB !!! Happy that I got to see your samba live….absolutely amazing."

Another added: "Amazing show this afternoon, you had my vote!"
