Jenna Bush Hager and Savannah Guthrie Treat Daughters to a Girls' Weekend After Mila, 10, Suggested It
The mom of three recapped the fun getaway on 'Today with Hoda and Jenna' on Monday
Jenna Bush Hager got some mother-daughter bestie time in with another Today personality.
On Monday's episode of Today with Hoda and Jenna, the mom of three, 42, talked about photos she shared from a girls' weekend on Instagram Sunday. Bush Hager and daughter Mila, 10, were joined by Savannah Guthrie and daughter Vale, 9½, for a fun getaway in Palm Beach, Florida.
"We don't see each other. We used to live next door to each other. We don't anymore and we don't see each other. What we realized about friends, whether it's college friends or more recent friends that you don't get a chance to see. You really gotta make an effort," she explained to co-host Hoda Kotb.
"We planned this before 2024. We planned it because Vale was baptized, and Mila said, 'Girls, I feel like we need a girls' trip,' " to which Vale agreed.

Bush Hager — who is also mom to son Hal, 4, and daughter Poppy, 7 — shared a video of the trip from the girls' time out in the ocean, enjoying some time surfing on the getaway.
"I couldn't have done that at age 10," Bush Hager said, sharing how impressed she was with the pair.
Guthrie is also mom to son Charley, 7.
Per her mom's on-air storytelling, Mila has a determined personality. During a November broadcast, Bush Hager shared how Mila put effort into asking for a debit card.
"We had said no. And we had said no. And we had said no," she said on Today with Hoda & Jenna. "And then she did a PowerPoint presentation."
The digital presentation included "why she was responsible enough now, and what chores she would do, and how she wanted to learn how to save and how she wants to buy presents for her siblings at Christmas on her own."
"And at the end, Henry, who's a pretty conservative spender, said, 'Okay, Mila. You've earned it,' " she said of her husband.
