Jennifer Aniston reveals bizarre Christmas childhood tradition

Jennifer Aniston’s parents used to make her belly dance every Christmas Eve.

The Office Christmas Party star used to have lessons in the torso-moving art when she was a youngster and her Greek father would encourage her to put her education to good use over the festive period.

She told Entertainment Weekly magazine: “When I was a kid, they used to make me belly dance. On Christmas Eve.

“My dad’s side of the family is Greek, so I would dress up as a little Greek girl and then on Christmas, after taking belly-dancing classes, I would do that. It had nothing to do with Christmas, even.

“It was just, ‘Let’s humiliate Jen on Christmas.’ ”

The star nearly had another embarrassing experience recently when she was shooting her latest movie, Office Christmas Party, and was surrounded by hundreds of naked extras, some of whom lunged towards her in the nude.

She added: “They loved it. That was kind of intense.

“It’s a lot, walking into a lot of extras. And they’re naked. And they’re walking toward you in the scene, and they’re directed to sort of, oops, lunge toward you, onto you.

“Yeah, it’s overwhelming. I don’t like crowds to begin with. I’m not great at concerts. Never have been since I was a kid.”

The movie featured around 350 extras who were told to improvise sex scenes, but one pair took things far too literally resulting in Jennifer’s co-star Olivia Munn having to re-shoot one of her scenes.

Olivia previously said: “We don’t have much time to shoot these things. We come out and we shoot it four or five times, great, let’s move on. Wait … stop, stop, go back.

“There was a couple, they’re extras, and she was up on a filing cabinet and his head was between her legs and that’s what they decided to improv because they were told to do whatever they want.”
