Jennifer Lawrence Enjoys Valentine’s Night Date With Comic Aziz Ansari

The pair have been refreshingly candid about how it “sucks” to be single.

Now Jennifer Lawrence and comic Aziz Ansari have joined in their collective loathing of being alone.

The pair spent Valentine’s night in a bar together nursing a bottle of red wine, with Aziz spending most of the evening making Jennifer how with laughter.

The pair larking around last year

Jennifer, 25, met the comedian at the Commodore bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

They had reserved a corner of the bar and spent the evening laughing and chatting over a bottle of wine.

A source told People magazine: “They looked friendly and were showing each other stuff on their iPhones and chatting and laughing.

“They tried lots of different food and looked like they had a lot of fun. They looked like really good friends.”

Jennifer takes no joy from being alone

As well as their wine, the Joy actress and the Parks And Recreation star enjoyed nachos, mac ‘n’ cheese and a fried chicken plate, while Jennifer also tucked into a sandwich dipped in ketchup.

Hunger Games star Jennifer – single after dating actor Nicholas Hoult and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin – ensured she preserved a memory of the evening by asking a bartender to take a photo of herself and Aziz on her phone.

The pair were previously seen together late last year, when Jennifer gave Aziz – who split from chef Courtney McBroom in January – a piggyback ride when they left a Saturday Night Live afterparty in October when their mutual pal Amy Schumer hosted the show.

The also spent time with one another in Atlanta, along with Amy, shortly afterwards, and the trio enjoyed Thanksgiving together.

Jennifer told US Vogue last year how she hated being on her own, moaning: “No one ever asks me out. I am lonely every Saturday night. Guys are so mean to me. I know where it’s coming from, I know they’re trying to establish dominance, but it hurts my feelings.

“I’m just a girl who wants you to be nice to me. I am straight as an arrow. I feel like I need to meet a guy, with all due respect, who has been living in Baghdad for five years who has no idea who I am.”

Aziz has been more succinct, telling Conan O’Brien on his chat show he felt being single was all about the struggle of using social media and text messaging to “try to schedule the dumbest s**t with the flakiest people”.
