Pussy bow blouses just got a sheerly perfect update thanks to Jennifer Lopez.
The multi-hyphenate recently attended a special screening of her latest film, Unstoppable, in Los Angeles, where she elevated the traditional shirt style by embracing some of the year’s hottest trends. This included adding a see-through twist to her top, wearing a transparent, icy blue pussy bow blouse with nothing underneath except for a nude bra.
Lopez layered the blouse with a matching blue single-breasted blazer, which featured a darker blue velvet trim along the sharp lapels. For bottoms, Lopez went for a Y2K touch, opting for a pair of low-rise bootcut jeans in a light faded wash. She rounded out the monochromatic ensemble with some suede platform peep-toe heels in light pink.
In Unstoppable, Lopez plays Judy Robles, the mom to real-life wrestling champion Anthony Robles, who was born with one leg.
“It’s not often that you have a movie like this,” Lopez said of the film, which was produced by ex Ben Affleck, in a recent interview with Variety. “I identified with her. I understood the upbringing they had, the struggles, the relationships, and the sacrifices Judy made for her son. She realized, early on, that if she didn’t accept her child, how would he ever accept himself? That moment of love and growth—it’s universal.”
She added, “This is an American story. It’s about family, resilience, and the idea that no matter what you’re up against, you can overcome it. Those are themes everyone can relate to.”
