Jennifer Lopez marks 55th birthday with Bridgerton party without husband Ben Affleck amid split rumours

Jennifer Lopez hosted a Bridgerton-themed birthday bash in the Hamptons over the weekend.

Though she turned 55 on Wednesday, the Hustlers star celebrated early with a lavish party inspired by the Netflix series, complete with her very own throne.

The Atlas actress brought the fan-favourite series to life with a blowout bash, welcoming family and a star-studded guest list.

Attendees, including Lopez’s mother Guadalupe Rodríguez, Lucy Paez, and Sarah Jessica Parker, arrived in their finest Regency-inspired attire, embodying the elegance of the popular show, which debuted in 2020.

In a video montage posted on her Instagram, the superstar dazzled in an elaborate blue corset ball gown adorned with embroidered gold details that shimmered in the night.

The video, set to orchestral music from the romance series, captured highlights from her special night, including her arrival in a white horse-drawn carriage, an opulent four-tiered cake, and her entertaining the crowd by taking to the microphone and singing.

She captioned the post: “Dearest Gentle Reader… And a splendid evening was had by all.”

Despite the family gathering, one significant person was notably absent—the singer's husband, Ben Affleck.

An insider told People that the 51-year-old Gone Girl actor remained on the West Coast, missing his wife's party as they continue to spend time apart.

The Argo director was instead seen in Los Angeles over the weekend with his children, Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12, who he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, 52.

Lopez and Affleck haven’t been seen together since early June, fueling rumours of marital issues. The couple celebrated both the Fourth of July and their July 16 wedding anniversary separately.

However, the Deep Water star was spotted driving in Los Angeles on July 19 still wearing his wedding band.

As divorce speculation mounts, the couple have done little to deter reports after they listed their 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom mansion in Beverly Hills for $68million, which they had purchased in 2023 for $60.8million.
