As the recipient of the MTV Video Vanguard Award, Jenny from the Block returned to her native city of New York for the VMAs looking like the show’s infamous Moon Person herself. And the look is fitting for the superstar singer, who has received 23 nominations from the music network through her two-decade-plus career — making her the show’s most nominated Latin artist in its history.
“I don’t have words,” Lopez told Terrence J on the red carpet. “It’s an insane night for me. It’s a really special thing to be winning this award.”
In anticipation of her show-stopping performance, J.Lo came with longtime beau Alex Rodriquez. But he clearly wasn’t the only one who had eyes for her. Instead, the entire internet seems to be tuning into MTV for Lopez, and Lopez alone.
So I’m here for the JLO concert. Idk about ya’ll. #Vmas

And the pop music icon did not disappoint, with a performance of both her old and new hits, in a total of four spectacular looks.
