Jennifer Metcalfe and Greg Lake welcome baby boy into the world

Congratulations are in order for ‘Hollyoaks’ star Jennifer Metcalfe and her partner Greg Lake, as the actress has given birth to a baby boy.

A representative for the couple has confirmed they welcomed their first child into the world on Tuesday (July 20) and both mother and baby are said to be doing “fine.”

“We are delighted to announce that our client Jennifer Metcalfe and partner Greg Lake welcomed a baby boy into the world yesterday. Mother and baby are doing fine,” their rep told OK! Online.

The loved-up pair decided they didn’t want to know the sex of their baby until the birth, and Jennifer admitted she couldn’t wait for her little bundle of joy to arrive because her pregnancy wasn’t all smooth sailing.

“I don’t want to know. I want to get through the last push … I feel like I have had an eight-month hangover and it never ends. I’ve had everything from lack of sleep, constipation and sickness. I told Greg I can ditch the holidays but all I want to do is sleep, poo and eat! I’m just looking forward to this one arriving,” she said.

Jennifer is set to take a year off from ‘Hollyoaks’, and in preparation for the birth, the 34-year-old beauty and Geordie Shore star Greg moved in together for the first time.

Jen – who has been dating the hunk for four years – is excited to enter the next chapter of their lives together, and said: “We never lived together before because of work. His business is in Newcastle and I’m in Liverpool filming for ‘Hollyoaks’ so we don’t get to spend much time together. But I am so excited to live with him. We are just like best mates.”
