Jeremy Clarkson’s girlfriend has revealed her son feared he would kill the TV star when he gave him COVID.

The Grand Tour star, 61, caught the virus in December, and Lisa Hogan – his girlfriend of around four years – said it was her son who passed it on.

“It was awful!” she said on Loose Women. “My son brought it down for Christmas and he thought, ‘Oh my God I'm going to kill Jeremy!’"

She joked: "And I said, ‘Some people will thank you!’”

"The doctor was very clear - I'd feel under the weather for between five and 14 days and then I'd either get better or I'd have to go to hospital," he said.

"Because I am 60 and fat, and because I've smoked half a million cigarettes and had double pneumonia, I'd probably die, on my own, in a lonely plastic tent."

Clarkson has been married twice but split from his second wife Frances Cain in 2014.
