Jeremy Corbyn mocked after attempting to floss at Pride of Britain Awards

Jeremy Corbyn has been widely ridiculed after attempting to floss while backstage at the Pride of Britain Awards.

The Labour leader was compared to Mr Bean after failing to quite get to grips with the viral dance craze.

He was filmed backstage with singer Olly Murs and dancer Ashley Banjo, who demonstrate their impressive ability at the dance move.

Mr Corbyn then grins and attempts to floss himself, swinging his arms and shuffling precariously from side to side.

Twitter users pointed out the remarkable similarity to a particular TV scene where Mr Bean visits a nightclub and attempts to join in with other dancers.

The clip also sparked inevitable comparisons with Theresa May, who made the unusual decision to dance onto the stage for her keynote speech at the Conservative Party conference to an Abba song.

The Prime Minister’s dancing technique has since been dubbed the ‘Maybot’.

A video of Mrs May dancing was seen in August this year when she visited a group of schoolchildren in Cape Town.

The South African government posted a clip on Twitter which showed the children greeting the PM with a song and a dance.

Mrs May is seen smiling before joining in with the dancing children before heading inside the school.

Although less than impressed with her competence, the British public were generally supportive of her decision to have a go despite her lack of skill.
