When is Jeremy Corbyn appearing on The One Show?

Labour leader Mr Corbyn will appear on The One Show on Tuesday, May 30th - just nine days before the General Election.

He will face questions on the green sofa from hosts Alex Jones and Ore Oduba, exactly three weeks after Prime Minister Theresa May and her husband Philip were quizzed on the teatime show.

It's unclear whether Mr Corbyn will talk about big political issues, or whether we'll hear more about his family and marriage to third wife Laura Alvarez.

How can I watch it?

The 30-minute studio-based chat show begins at 7pm on BBC 1.

What happened when Theresa May appeared on the show?

Mrs May and her husband Philip made a series of highly personal revelations in their first joint interview on The One Show.

Mr May, a financier and key political confidant to his wife, has kept a low public profile since entering Number 10 last July, so his appearance on the show was highly anticipated.

The couple revealed they were early victims of “fake news” when a newspaper wrongly claimed the future Prime Minister had “a new baby”.

Mrs May, who has never had children, said that when she was trying to become an MP she faced claims she would have "trouble" being selected as a Tory candidate because of her baby.

Before becoming Prime Minister Mrs May spoke about how she and her husband were both "affected" by their struggle to have children.

Will Mr Corbyn's wife be appearing?

Mr Corbyn's third wife Laura Alvarez apparently won't be accompanying him, according to the BBC.

Mrs Corbyn, who married the left-wing leader in her native country Mexico in 2013, imports coffee to the UK from her home nation.

She has maintained a low profile since her husband became Labour leader, preferring to stay out of the spotlight.
