Jeremy Hunt fights for his political life at Leveson Inquiry: Live blog

Embattled Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt is appearing before Lord Justice Leveson with his political career in the balance over his links with Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation.

Mr Hunt, who has been waiting for weeks to tell his side of the story, is set to be asked about what contact he authorised between his special adviser Adam Smith and Fred Michel, the head of public affairs for News Corporation in Europe.

He can also expect questions about whether he was the right person to decide in a quasi-judicial role whether Murdoch's multinational company should be allowed to take over the satellite broadcaster BSkyB.
