Jeremy Renner's series Mayor of Kingstown has received a season three order.
Premiering in 2021, the crime thriller show features the Marvel star as Mike McLusky, a former inmate whose family work as unofficial community liaisons between the police and the local street gangs in the fictional town of Kingstown, Michigan.
Co-created by Yellowstone's Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, the series also stars Dillon, Dianne Wiest, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird and Aidan Gillen among others.

When a third instalment of Mayor of Kingstown will actually start filming hinges on Renner's recovery, as well as the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
The Clint Barton star is on the mend following a snowplough accident he suffered in Nevada on New Year's Day this year. In January, Renner was hospitalised for several broken bones and blunt chest trauma after jumping in front of a snowplough to save his nephew.
In May, the actor shared a positive health update on his social channels, posting a video in which he used a Zimmer frame to help him walk as he continued his rehabilitation.

The Avengers star had previously opened up on the accident in an interview with ABC News's Diane Sawyer.
In the special, titled Jeremy Renner: The Diane Sawyer Interview – A Story of Terror, Survival and Triumph, Renner expressed no regret over jumping in the way of the snowplough to save his nephew, saying he would do it again in a heartbeat.
The star got emotional and began to tear up when Sawyer mentioned how he told his family he was "sorry" in sign language whilst at the hospital.
Mayor of Kingstown streams on Paramount+ in the US and the UK. A release date for season 3 is yet to be announced.
