Jessica Ennis-Hill announces second pregnancy

Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill has revealed she is expecting her second child with husband Andy Hill.

The former Olympic heptathlon champion revealed her exciting news on Twitter, telling her fans she was ‘so happy’ to be adding to her family.

Already mum to two-year-old son Reggie, she shared a picture of him holding a book which read ‘I’m going to be a big brother’, captioning the shot: ‘Someone’s going to be a big brother! Another little Ennis-Hill on the way. So happy @andyhill18.’

Fans were quick to congratulate the 31-year-old – who married her long-term partner Andy in 2013 – on the amazing news.

‘Huge massive enormous congratulations!!’ wrote one, while another added: ‘Congrats to you all! Such a cute reveal!!’


After retiring from athletics last year, Jessica revealed that she was intending to add to her family.

‘I need to have some time with Andy and Reggie – we definitely would love another child in the near future,’ she told OK! Online.


Jessica announced her retirement from athletics in October 2016, saying it was ‘one of the toughest decisions she’s ever made.’
