The singer reckons she deserves more praise as she is regarded as ‘one of the greatest singers’ over in the US.

“My profile in America is that I’m kind of celebrated as one of the greatest singers and I love it,” she claims in an interview with Women’s Health Magazine.

“I wanna be up there with the Celine Dions, the Whitneys, the Beyoncés and Arethas,” Jessie says.

“I go hard because I hope and pray that one day, people look back and go, ‘She could really sing, you know.’ Which is why I keep going.”

And the 27-year-old says how saddened she was after not being asked to perform at this year’s BRIT awards despite being asked to perform at both the Grammys and the VMAs over in the US.

“It makes me sad,” she told Women’s Health. “I’ve done the Grammys, the VMAs…”

Despite winning the Critics Choice award back in 2011, Jessie has never won another BRIT or been invited back to perform.
