Jesy Nelson has come out to say that since her departure from Little Mix last year, she hasn't kept in touch with the other members.

The singer had been performing with Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock since their group formed in 2011, but decided to leave in December 2020 citing her declining mental health as the reason behind the slip.

Now, eight months later, Jesy is teasing her first music as a solo artist and recently spoke up about whether she has been keeping in touch with the remaining members of Little Mix.

"No, not as much. Not now," Jesy simply said in an interview to The Guardian. "I think we all need time. It's a big thing that's happened."

However, the star did not seem to have any bitter feelings toward her former bandmates and, when asked whether she thinks the now-trio will stick together, she predicted: "I reckon they'll look after their babies, go off and do their own things for a while, then make a comeback together.

"I think they're just as sick as a three. They're still doing it for girl power. I still love them to pieces. They were like my sisters."

Perrie and Leigh-Anne announced their respective pregnancies only days apart last May, with both their due dates expected around autumn/winter of this year.

Jesy also added that the other girls were very much in her mind when deciding to leave the band as her unhappiness was making it hard on them too.

She said: "We've all had our own problems. But it's never nice to be around someone who's down and doesn't want to be there. As much as I needed to come out of it for myself, I didn't want to keep putting three other people through that as well."

Hopefully, Jesy is in a better place now and we can't wait to hear some of her solo music soon.
